For The Love Of God
Jonathan Brickman

For the love of their personal self-esteem, for the love of their personal glory and false honor, for the love of a devil, men and women kill themselves with as many others as they can. For these reasons people are eager to kill as many as are required to motivate the remainder to join them. For these reasons people encourage others to sin against them and against God. For these reasons they are agents of sin, and agents of death.

For the love of God, men and women love Him first and last and most of all, and love all of their neighbors only afterwards, in the same way as they love themselves. For this reason people try to help their neighbors understand who must be loved and obeyed if he is to take them to a place better than this one in every way. For this reason people do creative words, creative silence, careful gifts, and as much love as they can to all of their neighbors. For this reason many welcome the opportunity to die rather than kill others. For this reason people try to be a friend of everyone around them, as much as they can. For this reason people refuse to be agents of sin, or agents of death, as much as they can.

For the love of their favorite things, for the love of their favorite places of this world, for the love of their favorite ways of life, for the love of their personal and corporate glory, self-esteem, and false honor, for the love of trying to prevent some from being taken to Heaven, and for the love of trying to send others to Hell, men and women kill and maim others with willingness but usually not desire to die in so doing. For these reasons people kill and maim others using methods which make it as difficult as possible for some to remember what they have done. For these reasons people vilify others unto death while trying in vain to justify or ignore their own acts of evil. For these reasons they are usually, but not quite always, the agents of sin, and the agents of death.

For the love of God, men and women eagerly take the freedom He gives through life in the Son: the freedom from being agents of sin and death.

For the love of God, men and women are sad and ask Him to reverse the course when He seems to be taking any of the different kinds of people to Hellish destruction, have love and compassion upon all neighbors, and welcome Him joyfully when He takes many to either the only true freedom in this world, or to the place far better.

If you would like to have this freedom, the freedom to love all men and women and to fear no evil, please any of us who have it. None of us in this world have it entirely, but many of us have some, and it is given increasingly over time; and it is far more valuable than flags, or fortunes, or anything or anyone else.
